Patricia A. Lewis November 30, 1943 - October 23, 2008

BATAVIA - Patricia A. Lewis, 64, of Batavia, a longtime registered nurse at the former Genesee Memorial Hospital, died Thursday (Oct. 23, 2008) at Rochester General Hospital.

Miss Lewis was born Nov. 30, 1943, in Batavia to the late Kenneth G. Lewis and the late Katharine M. Waskey. She retired in 2001 after 42 years at the former Genesee Memorial Hospital and United Memorial Medical Center. She was a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Joseph's Church) and she loved to travel.

Miss Lewis is survived by three brothers, Donald R. Lewis, Kenneth J. (Nancy) Lewis and William J. Lewis, all of Batavia; a sister, Marilyn (James) Adams of Batavia; and 11 nieces and nephews, Susan (Jeff) Cramer of Mocksville, North Carolina, Michael (Debbie) Adams of Batavia, Shelly (Scott) Johnson of Moravia, Kathy Hausfelder of Marilla, Kim (Rick) Morgan of Mill Spring, North Carolina, Daniel Lewis of Amherst, Marie (Thomas) Banach of Gates, Kellie Lewis of Rochester, Patricia (Joseph) Couturier of Deltona, Florida, Neil Lewis of Batavia and Karin (Brett) Wormley of East Rochester.

There will be no prior calling hours.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Resurrection Parish (formerly St. Joseph's Church), 303 East Main St., Batavia, NY 14020. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Flowers are gratefully declined. The family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Fund, 529 East Main St., Batavia, NY 14020; Volunteers For Animals at Genesee County Animal Shelter, 3841 West Main St., Batavia, NY 14020; or to a charity of donor's choice.
