Chuck Schweiger

Chuck Schweiger, age 78, of Nashua, NH passed away on December 29, 2021.

He was born May 4, 1943 in Batavia, NY, the son of Alex and Marion Schweiger.

He was the beloved husband of Leslie Gail Schweiger, who passed away May 3, 2006. They were married on 2/20/1972 in New York and had a wonderful, loving marriage for 34 years.

He graduated from Batavia High School in 1961 and attended the University of New York, Buffalo. When his father became ill, he took over the family business, Alexanders, an upscale department store in Batavia, NY. He then worked for many years as a district manager before opening his own business in 1996, Creative Signs and Promotional Products.

In his younger days, he was involved with the Sportscar Club of America and raced cars. He had a passion for fast cars and competition. When he started his business, he became active in the Rotary Club of Nashua West where he met many friends and enjoyed working on the annual Rockin’ Rib Fest. He loved trying new activities and being active. He loved riding his motorcycle to Rockport, MA along with Leslie. He enjoyed watching the Patriots and Red Sox with his sons and watching his grandsons play sports.

He is survived by his sons Matthew Schweiger and his wife Virginia of Marlborough, MA and Jason Schweiger and his wife Michelle of Natick, MA., his grandchildren Liam, Ethan and Lacey Schweiger, his mother-in-law, Frieda Rosen, sister and late brother-in-law, Arlene and Keith Osber, and partner Diane Laesser Bluff along with many other family and friends.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date. The family will be sitting Shiva at the home of Jason and Michelle Schweiger on Sunday January 2nd from 1-4pm and 6-9pm and on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6-9pm. For everyone’s safety, we ask that visitors wear masks and pay their respects at a later time if feeling ill or have been a close contact.

Donations can be made to Camp Bauercrest through https://bauercrest.campintouch.com/ui/forms/donor/Form, the summer camp that his grandsons attend.
