Nancy Colombo (Trendel)

Nancy Lee (Colombo) Trendel, 75, of Batavia, died peacefully Sunday afternoon July 1, 2018 at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born in Batavia, Oct. 2, 1942 to Samuel and Earla (Bates) Colombo.

Nancy was a Batavia High School graduate, spent some time as a local hairdresser and along with her brother Bob ran Just Ducky Crafts for many years. In her early years with her husband Dan, she enjoyed roller skating at the former Skate 98, was a wonderful cook, enjoyed shopping and was always up for good conversation with friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dan Trendel; children, Lisamarie Elmore, James (Lisa) Elmore; Joseph (Jennifer) Elmore all of Batavia; grandchildren, Maressa (Joshua) Earl, Samantha, Nicole, Nicholas, Michael & Ashley Elmore; great-grandchildren, Collin, Lila, Cayden and several other great-grandchildren; brothers Robert (Josephine) Colombo of Batavia and Paul (Penelope) Colombo of Rochester along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy’s family will be present from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday July 6. Mrs. Trendel will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery and memorials in her memory are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
